Maybe they are repro - that would explain why I picked up a new one for 40 quid a few rallies ago.
In that case - a lot of money for a date code.
$300 for a NOS H2 steering damper !!! Why ?

Kin ell you can get pattern ones for £40 I think from Zpower........how much did you pay for yours Nick???? Re the damper John Lutz from Mid Atlantic Motorcycles is selling recon ones with a new (pattern?) boot for $250 at least he admits the damping ain't all it could be but still look the part. Must admit I always thought the early ones just had a boot on but were same as later ones but am now wondering how they secured the boot at the yoke end of damper....will check out the original one on the "a" at mums in a coupla weeks........Nick come to Sams curry nite I can alway upgrade mine and ramms room to family!!!!!
