VAT at 8% ! and 2 years later when Mrs Thatcher got in it increased to 15%
I suppose the impending January increase of an extra 2.5% is not too bad in comparison.

Interesting to read that there was a dealership in High Wycombe. The address is now occupied by Citygate Volkswagen. Next time I drop my car of for a service I will have a look in the shed at the back. Maybe there are some Kawi spare parts left :P :P

Its always worth a look Gotz!
In the early 1990"s I was chasing up old dealers in the Uk and rang Kawasaki Carlisle?
they were now a Honda shop that was about to shut up shop but he said there is a couple of old kawasaki pipes NOS still in the wrappers on the shelf??
I went up there the next Saturday and bought them at £15 each.
They were off a H1A :D

I do, but a bit later than 74, 1978 when I started going there on my moped. :D

My KH250 was previously Brendans who worked there for a few years. He went from the KH to a Z1 and then had a very nasty accident on it flying down Garstang Road when someone pulled out of the industrial estate.

I certainly do remember it, from 1979 onward when I got my first triple.
S' funny, but my H2a was in the window there in '78, Alec Whitwell bought it-I acquired it later. To be covered in a forthcoming KTC newsletter. :D
Remember their ace mechanic, George Arnold?
