VAT at 8% ! and 2 years later when Mrs Thatcher got in it increased to 15%
I suppose the impending January increase of an extra 2.5% is not too bad in comparison.
Interesting to read that there was a dealership in High Wycombe. The address is now occupied by Citygate Volkswagen. Next time I drop my car of for a service I will have a look in the shed at the back. Maybe there are some Kawi spare parts left
Nobody really cares if you're miserable, so you might as well be happy.
Its always worth a look Gotz!
In the early 1990"s I was chasing up old dealers in the Uk and rang Kawasaki Carlisle?
they were now a Honda shop that was about to shut up shop but he said there is a couple of old kawasaki pipes NOS still in the wrappers on the shelf??
I went up there the next Saturday and bought them at £15 each.
They were off a H1A

I do, but a bit later than 74, 1978 when I started going there on my moped.
My KH250 was previously Brendans who worked there for a few years. He went from the KH to a Z1 and then had a very nasty accident on it flying down Garstang Road when someone pulled out of the industrial estate.

I certainly do remember it, from 1979 onward when I got my first triple.
S' funny, but my H2a was in the window there in '78, Alec Whitwell bought it-I acquired it later. To be covered in a forthcoming KTC newsletter.
Remember their ace mechanic, George Arnold?
