got me RB import running.(on premix)still to tune it better

sorted the brakes,

electrics spot on now.

brazed up exhaust seam.

think its ready for an MOT

This is my first time with an import,any advice on get it registered will be appreciated, ie mot, insurance etc,I guess its tax free ?

The vid does enhance its looks alot.I will be doing a restoration when the KH400 is done

nice one Pete...don't run it on premix for too long it needs proper lub :wink:

just ran it on premix to bleed pump and get it running,will put fresh fuel in today :D

youneed to insure it on the chassis number, you will get a 30 day cover note.
Take this with all the other paperwork MoT, import papers, vat, etc and the "V" form for registering a bike to your local DVLA office (never go at the begining or end of the month, too busy)
You will also need to pay £50 for first registration.

You will have to trailerthe bike along for inspection too but I think they send you an appointment when you submit paperwork
I used to drink too much, I mean I still drink to much, but I used to as well.

Registered three bikes in past couple of years & never had a inspection request!

Does the DVLA office allocate an age related plate to the bike :?:

on the title it will have a year, you will get a plate related that year

Went through this process last year and had to take it for an inspection. 30 mins there, 30 mins back, less than a minute to inspect. All they looked at was the frame and engine numbers.

About a week later I got the paperwork through the post, including a tax disc and a letter for getting the number plate made. As long as everything checks out you'll get an age related plate.
