The 'Not the Wedding day' NE rideout
Hi guys
looking enviously at the NW lads decision for a quiet rideout to escape that wedding (no, not Yogi's), I thought we might do the same thing for all the North East (Yorkshirely) members.
Lakes etc is a bit far for a lot of the Yorks guys but I have an area in mind, as far as I know there has not been a rideout here before, but... I am struggling to find any venues open for a visit on that day.
Any thoughts.. do I stick with the Wedding day or go for a Bank holiday or weekend instead?

Hi Androu, try giving Simon H a nudge to get his (area Rep) ass in gear.. I know you have some lovely country of your own to traipse.
However, it would be nice for you to attend but it is an awfully long way for you even before the rideout (which is expected to be southerly in direction).

Cheers Gary, wondered where you had got to and was gonna ring today but got sidelined.
Suggestions so far are:-
North Lincs, Lincs or S Yorks, and it looks like its gonna be on Wedding Day, destination decision to be taken on Monday should have a weather forecast by then too.
Good ideas Gary but no mentions of them being open on Wedding day.

Friday's 'Not the Royal Wedding' Rideout is ON guys... Final destination is at Willingham Woods east of Market Rasen, North Lincs.
First meeting point is at the Rix Petrol Station on the A614 Boothferry Road just West of Howden nr Goole at 10:00 to be leaving once it appears that everybody is there.
Map of Howden Garage is right by the '4' in the yellow A614.
From there heading south through Goole and Swinefleet to visit the:-
Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft which will be open especially for us if there are sufficient numbers (looking good at the moment) ETA Approx 10:30-11:00.
Kick around until bored then heading south again to:-
Lincoln Castle square car park, eat, drink, pictures etc until bored then head out towards Market Rasen and Willingham Woods.
In not plenty of time then through Gainsborough and Caenby to Market Rasen and WW.
From Willingham woods it's a straightforward ride back to the A15 at Caenby then North to Scunthorpe, the Coastal guys can go over the Bridge if required or take the longer route back the way we came.
Looking like good weather if a little cooler than we are currently having.
I need a hands up by Wednesday night please to let the Museum know the numbers expected.

We should be in Castle Square sometime 12:30-13:00ish, I haven't decided whether to just take the main road south from Gainsborough or take the scenic route through Sturton by Stow.
So meeting us on the road from Dunham bridge might not come to anything if we only rejoin it at Saxilby.
(you could always take the road from Retford to Gainsborough and bump into us there).
Oh hey.. there used to be a bike importer/restorer just at the junction in Saxilby, I think we'll stop there if he's still open...

got a call from the letting agent, saying they have several people wanting to view the property.Wolfie wrote:So, apart from KevMach IV (possibly) that's another zero take up then.
Good job the Yorkshire Strokers are always wanting rides out, if it were left to you lot I'd be on me own.
So sadly that has to take priority, I'll be thinking about you while we are finishing off and filling the hire van with crap
