spa 2012 update
i will try to speak to Leon of the dutch triples club this week as he has been in contact with the organisers of SPA
for those of you that do not know whats going on
we are trying to get together for next year the biggest h2 gathering anywhere in the world to clebrate the 40th anniversary of the h2 to be held at SPA .
the plan is to have 2 groups leave the uk , one from the tunnel and and the other by ferry up t north and arrive in a pincer movement on SPA the date has been pretty much confirmed but i will check with Leon this week.
simon lister has agreed to organise the northern section crossing and myself the southern section crossing , i think the best thing to do is to put a flyer in the next magazine w ith details to be returned to the po box club address as believe it or not , every club member does not use the tinternet ! so by a small article in the club mag and a flyer with the option of which crossing u want to take north or south .
the plan is to maybe hire a couple of large vans to take clothing ,tents etc and as a back up incase anyone breaks down
at the moment it looks like it will be 29-30th june and 1st july next year

after much deliberation , I think I masy have a suggestion which could help
I will attend the rally ----yaeh, I hear the groans already
and could transport my own H2 in my trailer which would act as back up vehicle and would carry my own H2,, there woulkd be no room for another bike if we take some spares
Its a proper Ifor Williams jobby which would be great to use as a mobile workshop
Costs can be split between us all, and there would be room int car for another or two non farting non smoking non bollox talking members...there thats narrowed it down
Hows That :up

Not sure where that price comes from but I do Dover Calais about 6-8 times a year with a large American motorhome towing a large caravan, total length 17.6 m (about 1m longer than an arctic), and depending on the time of travel, I usually choose early am, and the time of year, it costs between £200 and £300. Generally Dover Calais is cheap compared to other ferries, that's why we use them so much.

I'll be taking my van and 1 bike but will not be comming back for a few days after, thats the plan any way, so I can carry some spares and room for 1 bike going to spar if there is a break down, after i'd like to go down to the Nerburgring and do some laps, and then spend afew days in Germany with the wife
Try and be all thing to every one, if you fail at least you tried

What is the latest info regarding the Spa trip.
Do the circuit know that we are planning to attend in fairly big numbers, and if so is that going to present a problem
What camping/parkin/sleeping/living arrangements are to be made
Its just that I'm not sure if all this talk about our and others planned visit is going to present any problems
I would like to make a few concrete plans at this stage. Its not that far away, well a bit.... but not miles anyway.
If any help is required with initial arrangements I would be more than happy to help
