ooops,gave it a bit to much large on the western approach,and blat,off it came,oil had slowly worked its way around the weld,and with vibration teased away the flange,problem is the gauge of the flange is thicker than the pipe,and difficult to get both to the same temp without blowing holes in the pipe.brazing may be the solution,need to speak to mr higgy 8)
