Southern 2012 350 Motobecane

Post by husson73 »

Del, have seen yesterday my friend Denis and his wife who have jut bought a H2B and who own a 350 Motobecane since new.
They manage to come on the Southern rally next year with the 350 Motobecane.
nice riders as they did yesterday 200 miles with the H2B to come on the old cars bikes meeting where we met yesterday 8)
you will meet them at Spa 2012 but with the H2B 8)

I've only ever seen pictures of a 350 Motobecane, never seen one at shows over here so I imagine they are pretty rare...great looking bike though! Would love to see one in the flesh...any pictures of this one JP?

I know the bike but haven't done pictures yet, will ask and around 800 were built and around 600 were sold.
The price is France was higher than a S2 and closer from the H1B then H1D price

pictures here and notices it's a Motoconfort not a Motobécane, same factory but two names like Austin and Morris cars from the 60s 70s.

In hindsight, I missed out there Gary...can't remember what I was doing at the time, probably something very dull like working on the house :(

Thanks for the pictures JP...interesting stuff! Just as well my other half is French speaking otherwise I'd just have been looking at the pictures! :D

I've checked the weekend Gary...at the moment I'm provisionally booked to do the London - Paris cycle ride. Maybe I could make a slight detour?! :D
