That's a good point Malc. Is there a dedicated camp site? As many as possible need to arrive together and claim a clump of land.malc87 wrote:Regardless of how you intend to get there the "craic" WILL be on the campsite with the masses![]()

I posted this on RB's site earlier
I thought this was supposed to be an International rally ? I cannot see it working very well if we are all on different campsites and hotels. We need a central point where people from all over Europe can meet up. SURELY THIS IS THE WHOLE POINT OF GOING ? For me the fact that we cannot stay on the circuit has put a bit of a wet blanket on the tripI understand that we will be meeting up at the circuit each day but it won't be like a rally, it will be just like a load of Triples turning up at Oulton Park ?
Another thing I was thinking about is that the people who have booked hotels only seem to of booked for Fri/Sat, what about Sunday? I would of thought Sunday would of been a full day not like our rallies where everyone has left the site by 10.30. My plan is to catch a ferry on Monday, the last thing I want to be doing is leaving early and rushing to catch a ferry on Sunday.

well then,my two pence worth, blackhat and i,and any others from the north, will ride down,to meet the other slightly less north people :twisted:and head for the ferry. We will have tents, two stoke oil, fuel, and will have ridden over 350mls to get to the boat.We will then ride to any camp site near spa,its not important,we dont care so long as we can all meet up with the southern shandy drinkers who may only have to ride 60 miles to a boat, and head to spa,as for all the chaps who wish a hotel, well thats good, for all the chaps who wish to take a van, thats good also, because if its pissing,we will knock your hotel or van door.
This trip should be an adventure,to meet with friends and triple nuts from far a field, the effort should be made to ride the bikes that we build/restore,eg you don t need to take two in a van to ride for 10 miles and take home in a van,you can only ride one at a time
The point i m trying to make is,ride the bugger, only very special bikes should be by van.back up van should carry, two spare bikes, spare parts, spare toilet rolls, tent pegs, beer :)and a mig welder :Dtartan, will be camping with the froggies and southern shandy drinkers

many bloody foreigners speak pidgim english Rog, so you should have the impression to be in some parts of London and some of us could even speak polish so you will think you're still in UK666rog wrote:cant see much point in going really. Even if we meet up with the rest of Europe we wont be able to understand them. All because they cant be bothered to speak English

Now can you see what we are trying to say, you know me I'm all for one big happy family all having the crack 60 plus Triples all giving it large yeee haaa bring it on
Dont shoot the messenger I am only a voice for the rest of the crew. Lets asume there are 15 of us from the SPSG and 15 of you from across the Dyke thats 30 triples, & maybe more!!!!
Min 30 bikes that need to fill up on average every 75 miles.
Lets say 200 miles from Frog end of tube to Spa so we need to fill up at least 3-4 times.
Each bike to fill up & pay 10 minutes per bike, 4 bikes on 4 pumps x 30 = at best One Hour to re- fuel and thats being conservative, reality will see 90 minutes with smokers a piss break & a bite to eat here & there
So 90 minutes per re-fuel x 4 = 6 hours just to fill up with petrol + min 4 hours riding time thats 10 hours John at least
So this is why the SPSG being that we are right on top of the ports anyway will most probably make our own way down & try to do it in 5 hours ish well unless we have worked out how to run them on Diesel or better still LPG
