Any one got any thoughts on this bike - good - bad - ugly - worth buying - value - what do you think

Kickstart and front mudguard with it too :!:

Last used in 1985 European - but not UK bike

If I buy it has anyone got any spares for this model - although I don't think it will need too much

difficult to tell condition from photo but looks fairly complete i suppose it depends how much it is £500 respray £500 powder coating £1000 engine rebuild £1500 re-plating ,spokes, wheel build, cables, rubbers,tyres,chain&sprockets, forks,etc,etc do the maths!!!

+1 I agree with Chris but then you have to look at what you done to your H1, that looks great and it depends on what price you pay for it to start with as well.
I would buy it given the chance.
Dont forget the end result, it would look fantastic in white and if you take your time and dont write the costs down then you dont notice the £'s so much and love ,pride, enjoyment,appreciation and the grin at the end cost nothing !

kwackersen's right lump six grand at it and you will have a stunning bike should be amazing when finished if your doing it to make money forget it 500's dont seem to fetch the money that 750's do but cost the same to restore a wheels a wheel in re-chroming land can i have 3rd dibs if you don't want it

I would never white and blue it ! - I had a red one when I was 18 - that was a long time ago

I would keep it red - and probably just tidy it up and ride it - ya never know

I'd go with the tidy and ride option, it's not nearly rough enough to resto..

Just buy a tube of solvol, a tin of Pledge and away you go.

There you go then sounds like hopefully you've decided to buy it and yes keep it red.
Chris is totally right again about if your doing it for the love or simply to sell on. If its sensibley priced as it is then you cant lose and you've got me and half a dozen others that would take it off your hands

or the other option do what Wolfie suggests Solvo time and ride

i'm dying to know what you paid for her if you want to tell!! after months of looking on evil bay etc i think anything less than 2 and a half grand is a good price
