Is it not that non members have access , but can't post, otherwise how do they get a username and password. I can't see any method for registering but not joining the club

Correct again Malcolm, every one has to register to post.
HOWEVER, you have to be a club member to access the clubhouse.

MMM, probably correct there then Malcolm.

The reason of the post is another forum is "open" and they are having ago at people who are registered on the forum but are not club members?
I was interested if the same happened here but it looks like it cant.

AND it don't bother me if people use a forum and they aint a member as long as there is restricted access.

malc here,s my 2p,s worth there seems to be a hardcore of members who post on here i dont think £23 is a fortune to join a club about your passion and i am sure it costs money to run the club but by not allowing non members to post we could be missing out on on allsorts of input,tech tips parts/bikes for sale downside could turn site into market place for traders and why join if you can do it for free for me because of our locaton not much happens up here i would love to meet you guys but even the northern rally in blackpool is 3 hours away and to be honest whist i intend to ride my bike i dont want to put loads of miles on her and if i turn up with her on a trailer will get slagged of for being a trailer queen come on malc organise a ride out for us northern boys!! on a sunny day please !! i have had a look round other sites [mainly z1 owners] and it appears to be the same they are trying to set some bikes for the scottish show and seem to be struggling maybe one bigger multi machine club is the way forward? your thoughts malc

No you won't 50% of bikes at rallies arrive in vans or on trailers

come on malc organise a ride out for us northern boys!!

The NW section organises a number or rideouts through the summer months. Mostly up into Cumbria and the Lakes, last year we rode up to Hartside which I don't think is far from you.

The Triples Club has a stand at the Scottish Show this weekend. We have had no problem finding 10 bikes to show.

You only get out of a club what you put in.

Ive never ridden my bike to any rallies apart from the Northern (I only live 5 miles from MFN) But have the utmost respect for those that do, had very little if any crap for trailering bike, I have done at least 3 rallies without taking a bike at all but still had fun at every one, get there anyway you can its worth it

Simon is right Chris, there is no problem turning up with bike on a trailer or in a van.

As Simon also says the North West lads have regular ride outs, we rode over to meet them at Hartside on the last occasion, the North East has traditionally not been a hot bed for Triple enthusiasts, we are getting more people though and had our first social this year and Ride Outs are certainly on the agenda this year.
We also,in the Summer months ride up to the Dyke Neuk at Meldon near Morpeth on the first Monday of the month.
There are only however about ten of us in the area, but Oaks from Acorns and all that
