Those choosing to 'show' their bikes in the avenue of clubs, please be aware that if you value the onsite condition of your bikes, there would have to be some form of gazebo to protect them as, depending on where they're situated, a cinder track runs right thro the avenue with loadsa vehicles dredging up dust...

Maybe they could do a two stroke session if we're short. 17 is still a bit better than 1 last yearS2Gerald wrote:Thanks for keeping me informed of your applications. The current count of attendees is only 17 at the moment, so way short of our allocation of 50 for the track session. If there's anyone out there pondering, just send your form in now!! I'm already regretting booking only one session!!

I think its a really good turnout so far for this landmark event,i am very pleased.I think its shaping up to be the must do for 2012.I spoke to a few people at donington that had already entered for the triples club session and i am sure there are more to come.We have spoken many times about how good rallies are, yet they are almost a "closed shop" for club members only. This is our chance to make a big impression on the general motorcycling public with the sight and sound of these magnificent machines.Be part of it and book now,its gonna be a great weekend.

A timely plug Adrian, as I have had a call from the organisers saying that there are just 20 spaces left in the session (from 50). So anyone reading this who wants to enter for the club session, do it now; if you know someone who is thinking about it, or wants to enter, tell them to do it now. This is very much a chaser, because although we were given until the end of February, the fact is they have 400 applicants for the few remaining spaces during the day, so there is a big focus on the, as yet, untaken slots in our session. So I'll say it again; if you want to be in the club track session, APPLY NOW :!:

Here is the list from the organisers of those who have got themselves a slot in the "club" track session. All but 4 are current members, but as it is a public event, any triple was welcome. There were a couple of casualties though, especially if your name is Keith! As we did not have 50 bikes to fill the session, other bikes have been included and this has resulted in insurance/health and safety excluding the two smallest triples. I did plead to have them included, but to know avail; a full refund is available to the Keiths, but as yet, neither has taken up the offer at the moment! I am awaiting a response on our camping area and any details on our slot on the Avenue of Clubs. Bike-type is quoted verbatim!
