Lincoln and Doncaster Rideout NOW on 6th MAY 2012!

Post by Wolfie »

Following on from the Hugely successful 'Not the Royal Wedding Day rideout' last year, this year is of course, the 'Not the Royal Wedding Anniversary rideout'. (Unless its raining or threatened with plenty of it).

Postponed from last weekends washout of course

Main meeting point is now at 10:00am on the 6th MAY is MacDonalds carp ark, just off the A18 / M181 roundabout at Scunthorpe, nr the Footy Ground.

Then taking the B Roads south to Lincoln via Scotter, Kirton Lindsey and Scampton, then Lincoln Riverside for Coffee and a look around.

To Doncaster Air Museum, via Saxilby, Sturton by Stow, Gainsborough, Misterton, Graizelound, Blaxton and Cantley.

Then I'll go A18 to Thorne with the Ullies to see them on their jolly way.. but everyone can return whichever way, some will probly be close to home..

So come on.. get those Steeds polished and fettled, you have 7 weeks!!

This would be a great chance to meet the Humberside, North Lincs, North Notts and South Yorks Club members, there are plenty out there!

If the weather still looks shite for this Sunday, I'll take a vote on Friday on weather to postpone, no point setting off in a downpour

Nice to see you out and about again Steve even if we din't get chance to natter and you weren't with us too long due to your group breakdown..

Shortly after you left there was a major Yahama Malfunction and the rest of the group split so only three actually made the Air Museum (and two waiting there for us)....

So, we'll be saving it for later in the year or maybe the 'Not the second Anniversary ride out'.

I must admit I wasn't expecting a honoured appearance from the RB.

If I had my thinking head on instead of my dancing head, I'd have bunged you some dough for a gasket set..

Nice to see you out Rick, shame it was cut short, you weren't the only one though, there was a Yahama coil malfunction just a few miles after you left.

When I first started out with these guys (a year or so ago) they were predominantly Yams, now the Suki's have started to appear and the Triples numbers are building up nicely.

And the pics are out.... Mad Al's Pics.

Wolfies Pics.

FAR from it Hal! I ride like that ALL the time, alone or with others  I was actually going VERY steadily as I had a soggy rear tyre and petrol PISSING all over my leg and bike from a punctured float
.
Those clocks have behaved impeccably, they are unmolested and yet yesterday BOTH of the clocks dampenings decided to let go

You'd be hard pressed to catch nutcase Al on the red Yam350.

At one point he passed me on some twisty bends, I had already seen there was a tanker entering the other end, now out of sight.. Al didn't care and passed me one bend on the wrong side and found himself facing the tanker with only yards to spare but waved at the driver before pulling back over.
