Hi Guys

I have a cunning plan to leave a laptop in the bar area (or somewhere quiet but busy) connected to the internet with Skype and Messenger running so that all yous that can't get across to visit can maybe join in a little, and get to meet all the UK Triples riff raff.

Well the idea was there....

Sorry chaps and chapesses, we were unable to get the rally live cam online from the venue.

The problem being that the people at the venue
a: didn't know the WEP code for the wireless network and,
b: didn't know the security code for the router so I couldn't retrieve the code from the router either.

Fell at the first hurdle I'm afraid, no internet available onsite.

If nothing else it has shown what sort of problems one is likely to encounter when doing this sort of thing.
I'll be better prepared next time.

Erm.. well I was gonna put the laptop straight back on ebay, let me have a think, it's cheep and cheerful and will do the job given a broadband connection?? hmmmm.
