looks like those (limited) people who got track time had a great weekend

now imagine doing that but as you go down the pit straight and you see the the F1 starting grid !!!

oh and no limit to how many went on the track, pillions allowed, hell one guy was even going round with his tent on the back !!

oh no scrutineers, no light taped up.. I am jealous of those that made Mallory

but SOOOO glad I chose SPA,

oh and ps nobody binned it

Seems to me that both weekends were superb, sadly it wasn't possible for myself and others (I suspect) to attend both meetings

SPA was supposed to be THE rally

people bailed (for their own reasons )

and went to an annual event in the UK, I'm sure Mallory Park was ace.
As it will be next year (hell it might not even rain)

not sure why so many chose the UK meet, not like we didn't have plenty of time

I guess it boils down to trusting your bike and fear of the unknown

I am lucky I guess as going to rallies abroad is nothing new to me, so I knew what to expect.

you just all missed a great experience, hell Dell even got 41mpg out of his H2

I keep telling people h2's can be economical on a run ....

I am just waffling on, sorry if I have offended anyone

PS I couldn't afford to go to SPA and will be paying for it for a long time, but hell I could be dead tomorrow

Gary, the reason why some people "Bailed" is because they maybe couldn't afford financially, or the time off work to attend Spa, and Mallory was therefore the more affordable option.

I don't think its owt to do with "fear of the unknown" or "trusting your bike" nor, personally, was my decision to attend mallory instead of Spa, a lack of riding abroad experience, I possibly cover more miles per annum on two wheels than some might be aware, (some of which is abroad) some of those miles are even on my 'trailer queen h2c'

I've really enjoyed reading the posts and looking at all the pictures and film clips of this years Spa meeting, and I'm delighted that it didn't rain, as Spa does have a past reputation of doing just that.

I'm also happy that all those that were able to attend, did so, and enjoyed a great experience :!:

yes great photos guys.

schwantz was a star. he did a few laps on his own then a load of other past masters joined him on track. Sean Emmet was on KR jr's rgv500 and started trying to catch Kevin, he reeled him in lap by lap, but as soon as schwantz saw he he just pulled the plug and showed emmett a clean pair of heels. awesome!!!

the commentator was a bit confused though as there was 2 number 10's out on track at the same time and was telling everyone it was mick grant trying to catch schwantz

hodgsons wheelies were spot on too, the full length of the start finish straight plus the back straight too.

i particularly liked the rotary nortons. great sound, great wheelies.

,

Glad you had a great time at Spa - Spoke to quite a few who attended there also and they spoke very highly of it too

We are all so lucky in being Members of such a Great Club with so many things going on outside of the Club - Here in the U.K. & abroad - In fact this Year there has been more choice than ever

Personally Spa for me was never an Option due to mainly not having the finances nor time and as Roger has already pointed out that Region could so well have been under Water too - In fact it is well known for it

Everything turned out really well for you chaps & so it did for the Mallory Park Lads - Only Friday was the Pits as regards the Weather- Saturday & Sunday apart from a couple of Showers was great - Even sunburned my head!

As for offending anyone I doubt very much if you did - It was a bit of a surprising post though coming from you?

All you did perhaps was make yourself look a bit of a Charlie?

now theres a coincidence! i had it on the bench today ,making some early h1 pipes ,and got carried away with myself and started making templates for a new alloy tank for it!

about time i did something with it again! Mallory next year sounds good to me.
