Bikes still needed for Stafford Show, October 2012

Hi all

Following my ramblings in the club mag I have had one of the best responses ever, with people contacting me to offer their bikes to put on the stand.

If you hadn't got the message yet, the theme is 40 years of the H2, so I'm aiming to get every model in every colour and, if possible, an H2R. I'm also planning to have an S1 and an S2 as they are also in their 40th year, give or take!

I still have slots to fill and have some likely candidates in mind, but they are the usual suspects, so I thought I should have one last push to cajole any members out ther who have any of the following bikes that they are willing and able to bring to Stafford over the weekend of the 20th/21st October (set up on Friday 19th) before I get on the phone:

H2 in Gold (otherwise Posh Pete is going to have to put his back together), H2A in Purple, H2B in Green and H2B in Brown. I also need either an H2 in blue or an H2C in purple (I currently have a volunteer who has both, but can only bring one of them - ain't that right Mr Silcock?!). There may be space for one or two more bikes, but I'm playing safe in case we get a small stand space again.

I have a H2 in gold BUT as you know its not quite in standard trim

As per Danny's other thread other thread, I have just checked the dates and they are 20th/21st October (with set-up on 19th) and not 12/13th as stated in my original post above (but now corrected) and in the club mag, so I can only apologise for my mistake. That said, I am certain the dates have been changed from those originally advertised at the end of last year, because I booked my hotel early on the strength of them. I may yet be told otherwise of course.

So, as a first attempt to recover the situation, here is the list of those who have offered bikes, so could I ask that you all confirm that you can (or can't) make the show on 20th/21st October 2012:

Pete Thornton: H2 (Gold)
Clive Smither: H2A (Purple)
Paul Harvey: H2B (Gold)
Kim Tester: H2B (Green)

Clive Hurst: H2R (not confirmed)
Malcolm Ince: S2

Finally, if you have booked accommodation, check it is for the right weekend or change it ASAP.
