Ali - Steve Rowden has done a piece in the last club mag Kawasaki Triples for Beginners - just reading it now and that says you have to go the nearest dvla office in person.

Made payable to D V L A - But you ARE better off taking it in person . . Had a guy in December mailed all his papers to Swansea, of course they said that they never arrived, even though someone signed for them  - Finally replaced them and was on the road in MARCH!

As Rick says. We have an office a few miles away. Not sure if i could risk the whole lot. They need ID. Your passport/ driving licence. You dont want toi risk that also.

nice one Ali :smt023
it is great to get a bike finally on the road after a long build innit?

i always prefer to send the docs in by post as it seems to work better when you are not standing in front of them at the counter. :smt023

Apology

Post by Steve Rowden »

Hi All.
I was the culprit that wrote the "beginners" piece in the mag.
I based my "in person" remarks on a phone call to DVLA before l went in to register mine. I'm sorry for the mis-information. Risky but easier by post as I hate riding into Maidstone Center.
