H2c needed

Hi everybody. I have just joined the club, have paid my subs and have got a membership card. All I need now is a bike!!! Does anybody know of a nice H2c thats for sale? Cheers Steve.

Don't be afraid to wait around for the right bike, you can pay an awful lot for a shiny but unreliable heap or get a decent reliable rider for just a lot..

From your post I'd hazard a guess that you never rode one.. it might be an eye opener if you did before parting with yer hard earned..

If you spot one, by all means ask on here but be aware that you might get Gazumped.

I know opinions differ but I prefer H1s (they're also a lot cheaper). The later models with rubber engine mounts are the nicest to ride.
I agree with Graham, try to get a ride on one first.

h1 s2 s3 far better bike to ride than an h2,depends what you need the bike for,my s2 was a great town and twisty road bike,h1,town and motorway bike,h2,not a town bike,motorway or drag strip,ride one of all first and decide what is best for your needs,do your research first before buying,also,are you buying an asset or a bike,the two are not the same:smt023 :smt023

just buy an H2, they are the best of ANY triple.
The small ones (up to 400 are gutless and two slow.
The 500"s are slow till the powerband comes in.
If youre dropping down from say a Gixer 1000 then you will be disappointed as the legend is bullshit (and they handle fine)

Hi steve , welcome to the club, I have a H2b and love it, they are much the same as the C model just a little less money. I am in Hornchurch essex, Where are you?

I have to agree with Turkish there, H2b is the same bike just looks a little different and hence cheeper.

I just stuck H2c Tinware on my H2b this last year, unless the Anoraks look at my engine no they'll have no idea.

Can't imagine anyone switching to a triple from a modern superbike, I thought most of us were previously into Ariel Arrows and things powered by Villiers 2T engines

Owning a H2 is a roller coaster ride of highs and lows........Its the only bike i have owned, that i have loved and hated in equal measures........Usually on the same day!.

Agree was kas on that one, at times my h2c is great & very occasionally pulls smooth & handles great ! i think why bother with my smaller bikes... the next day its like a big clumsy lug of a bike & i cant wait to get off it & onto the h1 or the kh.. if i had only one bike it would be an h1.. easy to live with & spares are readily available without remortaging the house....

There really are lots of opinions on this, I really enjoy my H2C, but it is a heavy thing. Properly set up they are nice to ride with a lovely broad spread of power, they are fiddly and time consuming to set up right and most people don't bother or don't know how, which is why they have a reputation for bucking and surging etc.
I find the 500's gutless low down and unpleasant to ride
Of the smaller triples I really enjoy the 400's which are smooth and fun to ride and in all honesty not that far off a later model 500 in street performance

If you fancy an H2, get one and try it, it will not cost you a lot as depreciation will be minimal

Get a H2 iv had my c for 6 years and it make me smile every time i ride it they dont go that well up to most bikes of today they dont handle but i wont ever part with mine i dont no what it is cus iv got 5 bikes in my garage all that ride nicer than the h2 but its my first pick every time

Welcome to the Club, Get yourself to Stafford and do the meet & greet bit : :smt023 You won't find a better bunch of blokes, loads of advice and pi** taking Been known to have a liitle drink too
The club stand will be stuffed with quality H2's in every flavour.
You will come away with a much better handle of what you are looking for.

Yes, I have a couple of H2-C`s for sale. 2 o.t.r Plus a few scary restoration projects.

Either call me or visit the Stand at Stafford. At least one shiny one will be be left by then..........maybe.
