Key 533

Don't suppose anyone's got an A1/A7 key number 533 that I could copy. Maybe also used on early H1s?

Yes Malcolm has done an H1 key for me - doesn't do this range though

I think you may be mis-reading the key number.
533 is not a number that belongs to an A1 or A7 (or any other Kawasaki)
Could it be a 523 which is an A1/A7 key

Maybe these American Eagle things don't count as Kawasakis .....

Also on the steering lock

You could be right there Pete, 533 is not listed on the Kawasaki parts database as a key number

I think we need to ask Malc what key numbers his Eagles are

Yep that is a number we would expect A1 and A7 should be 511-525

Are these H1A's Euro/Brit models, because there are some key numbers that only seem to appear in Euro models, but I had thought it was only the H2 700 series that had the unusual ones.

Yes mine is a UK model. I have different numbers because the steering lock fell out not long after I had it and had a replacement under warranty. That was in 1971. I bought spare keys off Mr.Brett 2-3 years ago,don`t know if he has any more .

Well it seems that keys 531 on are specific to American Eagle branded A7 models. As they probably only produced a handful there's very little chance of me getting a 533 key, so I'll add an 'A' series ignition switch (with key) to my parts shopping list.
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the steering lock mechanism from the housing without a key?

The Keys also had "Eagle" on them Pete rather than "Kawasaki"

And Im sure Rick had some ????

Yes, that makes sense as other references to Kawasaki have been removed (engine cases, speedo/rev meter)

There can't have been many different 'Eagle' keys - do you know how many of these were produced?
I see that 'freddythefatfrog' on ebay has ignition switch 524 for sale (without a key)

i would say minimum of 5 maximum of 10 different keys?
