A little adjustment can make a BIG difference!

After and during the ride out at the Southern rally one of the guys in the club had noticed the middle pot had been misfiring.
A weird one this as since the engine rebuild [all to standard spec]the middle exhaust always ran cooler and smoked more when warm.
The KH has now been run in but did start to slow on steeper gradients and had the acceleration of a wet fart :!:
SO...............had some time off today and gave the the little beast the once over. Checked points timing with a timing gun[was a little out]and cleaned /checked spark plugs and spark...all OK.
As the plugs were a little rich looking and the middle one oily I decided to check and adjust the jet needle.
I moved the clip ONE position up and BLOODY HELL took the bike out for a blast and IT DID :!:
It's like a different bike so pleased with the change this small adjustment made so I thought I would share the experience

All the jet needles were on the standard middle setting.I have moved all the jet needles up one notch[about 1mm]Will run like that for a while and see.
Not checked the main jets but as far as i can remember[old age thing again ] they were standard.......will check when the weather turns and i can do some fettling.
Middle exhaust now runs hotter and bike still goes like stink....for a 250

Triples can be very 'peaky' about the carb settings, what is perfect one day is a bag of shit the next.

I ended up putting tiny washers under the circlips to get an optimum setting, and even then she can be awful one day and drive like a dream the next.

A bit like a woman, OK one day then off on one the next. Mikuni's are so much easier........

I would never, ever, put tiny washers under Jane, it's more than me wife's worth.

2 strokes are all affected by the ambient air temperature

750's more so, hence wolfies good settings/ bad settings.
