15th Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show at Stafford

Post by S2Gerald »

One of the big events of the year is the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show held at the Stafford County Showground and where the Kawasaki Triples Club has a stand. This year's show is on the weekend of 18th and 19th October. This is one of the best shows for enthusiasts of classic japanese motorcycles, not least Kawasaki triples.

In recent years, we have taken to having a theme for the club stand, partly to attract interest in the club, but also it gives us a chance of winning an award for the stand and with it some extra funding for the club. :D

For those who don't already know, this year's theme is the Isle of Man TT to mark the "Smokin' the Island Tour 2008" where over 30 triples from the club invaded the island and put some manners on many a modern machine (I'm sure El Presidente will agree on that score  )

The show is open from 9am to 6pm on the Saturday and 9am until 5pm on the Sunday. Many of the usual faces will be present and there'll be some new ones too. If you are visiting the show, come and see us and introduce yourself.

If you are planning to attend, then it's worth looking at the show website as you can get discounted tickets until 13th October with the added benefit of being able to walk straight in, rather than queue at the ticket office with everyone else, meaning you'll get to those elusive parts before they do :D

This year's special guest is Kevin Schwantz, but for full details, go to the website: http://www.classicbikeshows.com/ . If this link doesn't work, just type "Classic Bike Show" into Google and look for "15th Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show".

Hope to see you there :D
