Seemed like a nice day, so I said to the other half just taking the bike out I wont be long.
So I headed on over to Macclesfied, and thought I've never been over the Cat and Fiddle road on the bike...and it's quite a nice day, so why not
(They've got average speed cameras set at 50mph all over it now, but it's only a 250, and uphill so I wasn't going to test the cameras today
)
As I was getting up to the Cat and Fiddle pub, a bank of thick cloud rolled in, and the road wasn't as dry as it was in the valley, the hairpins felt a bit squermy, so I pulled into the Cat and Fiddle pub carpark for a rest. Here's the great view;

I thought I don't fancy this all the way to Buxton, so I turned tail and headed back down to Macclesfield. After a bit of decent it brightened up, so I stopped and took this pic. (with the cloud bank at the Cat and Fiddle behind )

Managed to open it up a bit more on the Silk road on the way back... quite a nice ride in the end...
Still got that annoying squeek on the front brake though
...can only hear it when going slow... so not a problem
and the headlight flasher has stopped working
Now where can I go next weekend

Didn't know you were a whiskey man. Next time you are over I will take you to the distillery, that will sort your liver out.Olde Coney wrote:TallyB wrote:Been up to Bushmills (my "spirit"-ual home) [/quote

Eventually managed to get in the Garage not been in for a couple of weeks, I was accompanied by my best friend who always has to be there with me, he doesn't say a lot but listens all the time to my expletives when I loose my temper which is now quite often ( must be something to do with age ) I managed to get the rear wheel back in after re-building them both. I had to laugh because during the summer on returning home my best friend could hear me coming down the road on the triple and was there waiting for me.
Here's my best friend

Yesterday put my motor back together in the kitchen , nice and warm and plenty of cups of tea as required ,
Big thanks to she who must be obeyed although luckily she was out most of the day.
Today motor back in but in the garage hopefully will get to just barrells and heads to go back on as am waiting for a set of new rings to arrive.
