CLASSIC BIKE JAPFEST
I hope you will excuse this sudden intrusion onto the club site, i have been trying to get on here for a few years now, not really realising what to do, all sorted now thanks to Graham.
However onto the reason i have just got on here, The Taunton and Bridgwater section of the VJMC are holding a Classic Bike Japfest at Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset. On September 15th 2013 and we would like to invite you as a club or as individuals to attend. It is a one day show but does have free camping for all exhibitors, the only criteria being is that the bikes must be of Japanese origin and at least fifteen years old.
This is a professional show and all the bikes will be housed inside the museum, and if successful in it?s first year we will be building on it to make it bigger each time.
For all exhibitors you will also have free entry to Haynes Motor Museum which houses the largest collection of classic cars in the country.
For full details and entry forms please go to www.japfest.net or contact me with any queries at nick@japfest.net
We hope you will attend and if no one wants to step forward to arrange a club stand i will be happy to do it but would be unable to man it during the day as i have other commitments.
I will be at the Bristol Classic Bike Show on the VJMC stand so if anyone wants a chat and a cuppa call in, we will have meme's white KH250 and Rob Davies Evans latest resto a H1C on display amongst others.
I look forward to meeting some of you.
Regards
Nick Watson (cheesy)

Nick
Having now read your post, you've answered one of the questions in my email to you earlier this evening. I can pick up the running of a club stand as this event is only an hour down the road from me. You've already got the ball rolling with this post, but I'll add it to the list in the March club magazine to reach all club members, so will see what interest there is and take it from there. As mentioned in my email, this is in the run-up to Stafford, so I'll have other things on my mind, but your show is the week after the Southern Rally, so you don't clash with that. I am also working towards a display at Donington in August, but that might suit a different set of people, based on their proximity to the venue; early days yet and more details awaited on that one, but this is rumoured to include two opportunities to take to the track.

It is early days yet but already i have six triples booked in for the stand but there is always room for more.
Sounds good mate :smt023
If it does grow to be a yearly event for you just be sure to keep the same weekend each year as I organise the Southern Rally which is the weekend before or to make sense of it all we have it on the 2nd weekend of September each year, Delboy :smt023

The Bristol classic show is this month at Shepton mallet showground, The Taunton and Bridgwater VJMC will be there in the Sedgemoor Hall, which is one of the two long halls that connect to the main hall, there will be flyers and entry forms for the Japfest available there , so if you visit the show go along and have a look at their stand and make yourself known, there will be some nice old Jap bikes there
Including Rob Evans latest Kawasaki Triple resto.
