Picked up my crank from Gary this morning.....yes the one in the photo
as usual mint craftmanship AND crank tolerances print out sheet. All in all a very professional service from someone I would now call a mate............and NO no discount for saying all this
. Anyhow got chatting over a cuppa as you do and he mentioned that "Frank" you know the one
over in Perivale was selling off some h1 parts on eBay and that he had bought a crank from him. A minute later I was speaking to the very man on Garys phone and ended up with a set of 72 h1 cases, complete top end ,clutch and cover
just about a whole engine apart from crank and gearbox for £150.00. Well gearbox from the £50 motor I picked up from Clacton last week comes into play here and a crank............well you'll have to ask Gary about that and the one from Clacton
. All in all an enjoyable hour at Mr Clarkes and I must remember to look at Rainbow Chaser when I pick my parts up soon
