back from the monthly old bikes and cars meeting near Paris there're 6 H2 (4 72 blue, 2 H2A gold), 1 H1 71 with 69-70 peatcok grey body, 1 F9 74 with 72 body

After months of cold days and frosty mornings yesterday was a warm, sunny day - which coincided with the completion of the winter tidy of the H1 so went for a ride and thoroughly enyoyed it.

I had a nice little trip out yesterday, Started out by going to visit Olde Coney in the Lakes. As ever the tea, biscuits and bike talk were excellent.
We then went into the Garage for a look at his bikes, the A10 looks really nice and sounds lovely
I'll reserve judgement on the "Tetley Tea Folk" cap though :D :D :D

Lurking under the white sheet is the Velocette Venom and I have to say that close to it is absolutely Superb. It is a Really Really nice machine.
As has already been said though starting it is a bit of a Black Art and as I left he was getting the black candlesticks out and looking (in vain) for a Sacrificial Virgin for tonight's attempt at starting it. I had a few goes and failed miserably

I did however later on go up Hartside with my new bike, which would be really impressive if I had been riding it

It doesn't look much at the moment, but I have high hopes for it

poorly repaired damaged frame, cat D on logbook.
smoked like a trooper on the two cylinders it would run on!!
Very poorly looked after throughout its life
Higgsy thought the frame was bent.
Original rear shock looked like it had spent most its life on a fleetwood trawler!
He had another one for 15K and i would have been close to having that if it wasnt a swiss import, unregistered (they are restricked!)
higgsy had one and you need to cahnge the carbs etc.
Guy swore it was a swiss "full power"
Shame cause it was half nice that one

Spent much of today clearing all me junk and taking the handsfree kit n stuff out of my car... last day tomorrow

Then cut up the last of me palletts (sorry Kenny) for the coming winter, next week.. then we're back to burning SteveF's tree.

Tomorrow we're off to the cemetery

then pick up a new car.. (not brand).

So.. yet another weekend of absolutely nothing bikey going on..
