Fork oil - recomendations ???

Can anyone suggest a suitable grade/or fork oil to use on my H2c??
Cant seem to find a listing for it in any of the books I have...typical

of how my day as gone today !!!

Motul - Road and Off Road Fork Oil Expert.

Medium/Heavy 15W :smt023

Bit pessimistic recommending OFF road fork oil ?

15w seems a bit heavy too. ( Or am I being Fattist .....)

10w. Any make . Choose it by the pretty colour of the bottle .

And then just make sure you have tyre at right pressure.............

15W improves the damping a bit, it makes the front end behave like summat from the 80's... plus I'm running twin discs so it reduces dive a bit as well

Depends how you want to ride I suppose, poncing about looking at yourself in shop windows, you'd probably get away with chip oil...

Let's hope you don't wheelie with 15w oil and a heavier twin disc front wheel. Recipe for blown fork seals .

Surely the opposite would apply. Heavier damping, slower compression, slower increase in air pressure in forks?

Hmm .... now I'm not so sure. I was looking at an early fork design where the pressure chamber seems to be remote from the seals. I'll defer to Neil's wealth of experience on this. I expect he'd know.
