Well, Gary T came down this afternoon and showed me how to put the bottom end of my '70 H1 back together
Thanks mate :smt023 :smt023
Put the cylinders and clutch cover back on after Gary left and my oldest son is coming round tomorrow to give me a lift in with the motor
Thanks again Gary :smt023 :smt023
Feel confident that I can do one on my own now - even easier than a moped engine

I thought it was meant to be warm and pleasant down South?
Spent the weekend in Reading and ran the Half Marathon yesterday morning in torrential rain.
If I'd wanted to be cold and wet I'd have stayed at home, at least we expect it to be like that up here.
The atmosphere at the finish in the Madjeski stadium was really good though and I enjoyed that bit.
Then a 270 mile drive back home. Snow around Oxford then more snow north of Wetherby.
The British climate really sucks.

Hi Doc,Doctorpayday wrote:So how did you do?
Doc
I finished, that's the important thing. I think it would have been a nice route to run if the weather had been kind on the day.
Haven't trained much in the last 6 weeks as I picked up a viral infection that completely floored me so I didn't know how I was going to do.
Did 1:52:27 so quite pleased considering.

Spent the day sorting out the garage, especially the loft area.
over the last 4 or 5 weeks my son and I on a 50/50 basis have been ebaying all the second hand spares I have and no longer think I will use.
Mainly A1 and A7 but also Z1R ,H1, KH250/400,S2 etc.
I sold all my Z1 parts to one buyer as I only intend to keep the 72 Z1.
Slowly creating a bit of room

Went to Kempton, near Staines, just south of the Arctic circle.
Arrived a little late to miss the crush?
High winds played havoc with the stalls and the smell from the Burger van attracted a number of roaming Polar bears.
Got caught by an anorak (again) who lectured me on the differences in needle widths on the speedo's in his spares collection, had to saw my leg off to get away.
Stumpy doc
