been busy too, the s1b frame has now got a 400 motor in it, s1b paint set, chrome allspeeds, and its looking fab, think ill call it a s3b

Spent yesterday playing with H2 carbs for Ivan's H2b, got that cock on now.. he's gonna be ded chuffed, just got the Spannie mounting brackets to get welded, gave it a dam good clean, very purty now too.

Spent today on my own bike, playing with jetting (again) made some progress at last, doesn't buck and surge anything like it did now..
Went back to 16T sprocket, 14 just doesn't do anything for me..
Had a ride over to Scouses let him listen to my funny whirring noise..

You're nuts are loose he said.. rode it home and bugger me it was the RHS Crank nut loose. Doh! 0 out of 10 for observation during the rebuild..

Then looked at the oil.. Hmm.. should it look like this?

Then retorqued the cylinder bolts as my heads were loose too!

Anyhow she's ready for a ride out tomorrow, Squires for 11:00 and possibly the North Sea later on..

The new crank is absolutely spot on, I expected nothing less from you mate :smt023 Cheers.

I still have my vibration, I did nip up the engine mountings a tad this rebuild (by filing a sliver off the spacer tubes) just to try and hold the engine a little more securely, hard to tell but I think it has improved slightly.

The engine is much quieter with the Wossner top end, I suspect that it had just nipped up slightly at Spa, it just gave a dip in power on the way to Les Combes for a fraction of a second them seemed fine after it... But it was noticeably rattlier when I got home.. mind you they all got a good caning on the ride back to the Ferry too..

What do you reckon to the frothy Oil Gary?? that's EP80/90 Gear Oil, not cheapo stuff either.

Had a ZRX day yesterday, it got a new clutch, HD clutch springs, starter chain tensioner tamer, oil and filter. Now it's back to being 1200cc of stupid.

Took the H1 for a run up to Hartside on Monday. Nice 40 mile ride up there. Had a coffee and chatted to a few people and was about to leave when a guy approached me with a nice loking digital SLR with a big lense. I thought he was going to ask if he could take a photo of the bike but he didn't. Instead he said 'can I show you some photos'. Not knowing quite what to expect I accepted the offer and was rather suprised and somewhat relieved to find a photo of me riding the H1. He went on to explain that he finds a nice spot in a field a couple of miles from Hartside and takes photos of the guys riding their bikes then jumps in the car, drives up to the cafe and finds the rider of the bike and offers them a digital image of themselves.

So I paid him his £3.50, well actually only £3.10 as that's the only change I had and he couldn't change a £20 note and received an e-mail a couple of days later.

So here's the offending photo of me and the H1 in nice relaxed mode heading up to Hartside.

As an aside to the above I've decided to sell the H1 to fund the next project, so if anyone's interesting in a nice 1973 H1D please let me know.

Winning Best in Show at yesterday's 'Bikerfest' (Mildenhall)

It got covered in shit from riding over muddy fields and through a hail storm
