The Silk belongs to a friend of mine who i asked to bring it along . I knew you would all like it.
It is a Silk Scott, of which there were only 21 built before Silk started making his own engines (based on the Scott engine) . The later bikes were know as the Silk 700s , but this is a very rare example of the early bike.
I actually got to ride it and it sounded amazing, not at all like a 2 stroke. It was also amazingly torquey, and only revved to just past 3000 rpm!! The brakes and handling were superb though as it uses a bespoke spondon racing frame and brakes.
here is the bike

yes a big thank you to everyone who turned up.
considering that the weather was predicted well in advance, it is fantastic that so many of you decided to brave the weather and turn up anyway.
we had the biggest turnout ever for a friday night run out, which caught us out a little
,but it was great to see everyone at the cafe at the TVR factory in blackpool enjoying the best weather of the weekend.
as someone else has already said, the north west rally is going from strength to strength and getting bigger every year.
so thank you all again for making it a great weekend, and we hope to see you all again next year.

This was my first Noth West Rally & I really enjoyed it ! It was fantastic to meet everyone & put faces to the forum names.
A great turnout of triples with some fantastic machines on show.
The rideout on Friday afternoon was a real hoot, all that blue smoke ! :smt023
I really must get my H1 sorted out properly & get down on it next year.
It has to be said that the organisation was really fantastic, give yourself a big pat on the back, AND ....... a stick of Kawasaki rock, top man.
Cheers guys !

Many many thanks to everyone that made the effort to come to the rally. Despite the iffy weather we had a great time and you helped to make it a success!
