HI GUYS. ANYONE BROUGHT ANY OF THESE PISTON SETS FROM JAPAN YET ?. ARE THEY THE SAME ONES ADVERTISED ON Z POWERS SITE AS THEIR ECONOMY PISTONS AT £160 AS THESE ARE PRICED AT £60 PLUS £15 SHIPPING FROM JAPAN....I NEED A SET FOR MY H1E ...WHAT WOULD I BE BUYING HERE. THANKS.

Bit of a minefield this one know a couple of lads running them in 350s and 400s and have had no problems and the yam and kettle boys love them we are very tempted to only buy the best for our old ladies but 300 for wossners? Also you have to ask yourself how good are genuine 70s pistons .unless you are going racing or tuning the bollocks of the motor and riding constantly flat out I am sure they will be fine .I certainly intend trying them.I am sure others will have different opinions! BTW you will get fleeced for import vat and£8 handling fee

I have been running a set most of the summer ,no problems at all . The American forums don't seem to trust my findings , but thats their problem.

the start of f the dome above gudgeon pin its 1mm lower than stock piston ? anyone tried measuring them ?

I got a 2mm oversize H1 set for my brother recently (he was using A7 pistons with relocated ring pegs in the +2mm barrels). He mentioned that there's a taper on the top edge of the pistons starting about 1mm from the top, effectively extending the the exhaust and transfer port timings. He's just fitted one and will no doubt report back on how it performs at 10,000 rpm

There is no problems with mine at all, all the dimentions are correct. this is the last word i am going to say, i am really getting peed off with all the doughting thomas's out there in forum land

Used them now for a couple of years, I think.

Gave them to the rebore man prior to the work being done, this may help a bit.

Don't take it personally Barrie, people will take the average of everyone's answers and still worry that they could be the one to buy the Friday afternoon batch.

I've been hoping for a definitive answer myself, and I still have that worry that 'cheap' means just that.

People have been very slow on the uptake of these pistons, they have been around for quite a while now with no one at all wanting to be the first to risk their money and I suspect that it is the unbelievably low price that has caused that.

I reckon that if they were £250 a set, they'd have flown off the shelf..

These piston are an abslute bargin. i checked and rechecked these H1 piston on the inital fit and had the heads off after 300 miles , they are much better than any of the other piston on the market today. If H2 pistons were available from the same maker , i would do my H2 as well, all i see are people who are not willing to take a chance. This is not the British spirit!

I can only speak as I find and I've got a set in my S2 that I restored last year and they seem to be fine. I ran it in carefully and now let it rev to it's hearts delight. Just put another set in the current S2 project.

I totally agree with what everyone else is saying - the low price makes us think poor quality.

The CruzinImage H1 pistons do look good - I would to use them.

I must say that not all his stuff is as good - the RG400/500 pistons are not usable (RG motors are unusual in centering the conrods from the small end rather than the big end - so the pistons have to be accurately machined for the small end bearing and associated thrust washers). His pistons are just rough cast and also much thinner and lighter than standard.

Also, I've just found that the A1/A7 Samurai/Avenger gasket sets are pretty poor - the RHS clutch cover gasket is the wrong shape

As John said I did fit a set of Cruzin Image pistons to my H1 and it's also true that it has never ever run right however, it is inconclusive as to whether the pistons are the fault.

I have another set of pistons not cruizin image one's which I will try at some point when I get round to it to rule this out.
I have my doubts the pistons are the problem for me though as other people have them running perfectly fine in their bikes. :smt023

Running faults can not be associated with pistons , unless they are the wrong size or faulty, and then that's down to whoever fitted them.
