Honourary member suggestion

Just wondered....is good old fjk222frank a KTC member? Can I suggest that he is made a lifetime honourary member?
Anyone who is instrumental in pushing the value of a decent condition H2 up to the £20k mark by the end of 2014 must surely be worthy of this acolade? The way it's going, that's where the values are heading - and when people have got used to seeing such prices it'll be accepted as the norm'. Crazy!

In my experience he is a decent bloke and far more honourable than others that I could mention.
His prices are in a bubble.Don't even think for a minute that you could achieve a similar price for your bike by selling it yourself.
His bikes are generally overpriced by at least 50% in my opinion... and that is being generous to him.

And don't overlook the fact that the price that his machines are marketed at is not necessarily the price he gets for them, plus he may have to make an 'over -allowance' on an incoming part exchange and I suppose he will reasonably expect to make some profit too

Maybe he is just a shrewd businessman that prices the bikes as he does to achieve exactly this sort of result and get people talking about him ?

He is very unlikely to ever get the sort of prices he advertises at - but for sure everyone knows of him .....maybe that attracts enough punters that buy enough to keep him in business ?

Did I mention I have a Z650 for sale at £25,000 BTW - it's the best in the UK ...................... honest ...

Let me put it another way. An Honourary Member is usually assessed as to his contribution to the Club , then maybe the marque in general ? Monetary values do not contribute to HONOUR .
Anyone grasp it now ?

Oh 'eck, I wasn't trying to evoke a serious thread here - and I certainly didn't want to appear to be slating anyone who puts a high price on a bike ....after all it's everyone's right to try and sell something for whatever price they feel like. What I was actually thinking, is that as prices for triples in the £15 - £20k bracket become commonplace, then a decent example priced at about £12k will seem an absolute steal. Nowt wrong with that I reckon!

Neil, if you hit the space bar twice on an iPad it puts a full stop in for you. Hope that helps!

Thanks Rog. off at a tangent here , I got this. I Pad secondhand , from a bloke in the pub < !! Yeah, sounds dodgy , but is was fine once I'd wiped the blood off. he really didn't want to let go ! )

not sure why , but I tend to keep off buying trendy brand gear. Maybe thinking you always just pay for the badge rather than performance. My favourite mobile phone was the old flip-top Motorola razor. Probably because it looked like a star trek communicator. So when they brought out a smartphone razor , I was down the O2 shop demanding one. Buggers weren't having it, tried to push me onto an HTC or whatever. so got it via their website . loved it, but managed to drop it down the bog within a month. Knacked !! ( don't ask !). So , conforming to the norm now with a Samsung.
