Storage Containers

Post by Coxy »

Are these shipping type storage containers any good?

http://www.whiteselfstorage.co.uk/1631/Sandbach.html

I might have to put my bikes into storage for a few weeks while I convert a stable block into a garage and I was wondering what these are like. They're advertised as weatherproof and insulated but I'm concerned about condensation in the cold weather, so any advice would be good.

Cheers

Condensation in containers is a fact of life no matter how new or good they are.

It's not a problem to overcome it though, just buy a couple of these and your bikes will be fine especially if it's only for a couple of months

Alternatively ask your local self storage depot about indoor storage, depending on how many bikes you have it will not cost a lot more for only a few weeks.
