Coupes Moto Legende 30th may-1st june

Phoned blackhat last night for a triples chat and we got around to Coupes Moto Legende and thought it might be a good idea to pay a visit .so this is our provisional plan,ride down from up north on Thursday stop in dover area Thursday night. catch train/ferry Friday morning and meet up with J.P. and posse[assuming that is ok] then continue to venue do whatever you do at this event Saturday/Sunday and return on Monday to uk stop over somewhere and ride back up north on Tuesday. If anyone fancies this ride out please post . if you live darn sarf it's only a long weekend Fri/Mon of work so you shouldn't get too much grief of err indoors

I wait you and if you will come you can have dinner on friday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on saturday, breakfast and lunch on sunday on the french GT triple Suzukli club (you should pay a little but it's real good food with red wine and or beer under a big solid tent with seat and table).
Dinner on sunday evening in my home in Paris with burgondy red wine and cheeses which smell a lot(real ones )

done some research tunnel 29 quid premier inn 39 so sharing thats 20 quid each [each way ] i assume jp means paying for event in advance which i assume can be done from uk . at the moment we are 6 with mitsui spy a possible .so northern posse will ride down thursday link up with james and meet southern boys at the tunnel and off we go!

Just so everyone knows the most direct route from Calais via Reims is 350 miles and via Paris is 380 miles and Kenny go on a fizzy if you like it's about a great long weekend with the boys not what you ride

i don't know how many miles it's for Calais to Dijon track (near a small village call PRENOIS 21370 if you search on a map you should know this; the post code 21370) Calais to my home -Paris- is 290 kilometers. My home to the track -short way 290 kilometers, long way but with very small roads without any cops, small and big curves, harpins, interesting down hill on which you fly on the two wheels at around 7000 rpm 5 th gear on H2, petrol stations just when we needs, 350 kilometers

Well I've broached the subject but sadly it turns out that I should listen better. The kids are on extended half term holiday from 26 May to 6th June and Catherine's already started arrangements for a holiday. Ironically she's got us going to Paris for a couple of days and then on to Cannes (I had already agreed to this but hadn't listened to the dates).
Bollocks. Not set in stone yet but not looking good.

Andrew you are correct its a big ask for an old bike ridden by an old man! I have a two hour run to Dover. I am prepared for that. The whole ride is a physical challenge. We all need to be well prepared.
Probably take H2C or Z900.

you are probably right andrew here is a revised plan for us northeners you and the hat travel down to newcastle tueday night stop at mine wed ride down to sams area stop over thursday travel to paris stop over friday meet up with jp and ride to dijon .sunday ride to paris stop over. monday ride from paris to the midlands stop over tuesday ride home . unforetunately this is now a week not a long weekend so if this is a non starter speak up now and we will knock it on the head
