So, they're demanding a MINT one AND they want to drive it on sodden winter roads. That's a sound proposition

Just how much are they going to pay for this privilege then and for the cleaning up job on the mint bike afterwards? It seems a bit one way and clueless. Most magazines do extra donkey work during the summer months to get some articles in the bag to carry them through the more difficult winter months - just look at all the green leaves on the trees in the pictures for the giveaway.

Hmm.
bout time. The mags started riding OLD bikes, and reporting the reality of owning and riding them.

Taking something tha tis better than new is a bit pointless. They could just go back into the archives and print the tosh that their predecessors wrote .

So . Mint restored bike for two page centre spread. And good used bike with the usual wear and tear for the riding experience. That would be a far better , and useful informative. Article.

Actually, they are doing a 8 page ( ) History and buyers guide, it should be quite interesting, I spent a few hours with "Chris" a couple of days ago . . . he was younger than the bikes I did trawl the computer for some more accurate production numbers and the numbers that we Brits got . . . which should make for Interesting reading, however, I didn't give ALL of my lifes work away for free . . . just some of it

Well if a H2 falls into the category of PRACTICAL then I would hate to see what kind of bike is IMPRACTICAL

Yah. I can`t actually see the article showing the H2 in a good light. ?

The magazine focus is 89`s onwards sports bikes. The things began to go proper fast, brake and handle well from that point onwards !! And they`re pretty cheap comparitively. So the H2 , if compared to the normal fare they ride is going to be crap !!!

I don`t advertise in that mag as it`s readership demographic doesn`t really fit in with our potential customer/Potential Triple owner specs.
Maybe I`m wrong, but the Ad Rep didn`t argue with my logic when trying to sell me copy space. So maybe I`m a bit right too.
Possibly , the Editorial staff are under a bit of pressure to increase sales of the magazine by widening the appeal.?

Spot on ! ! ! The magazine is aimed at the ninja / direblade power rangers in leather romper suits who ignore you when you give them a nod because they look at your bike and think that you are a fossil

I cant see them giving the H2 a fair or accurate write up and their normal readership wont ever be likely to buy one when you can get a good fireblade for well under three grand which will blow the socks off any H2.

They did an article on Rg500s in this months mag. I don't suppose most would consider these very practical either. They do go fast, stop and handle a lot better than H2s - not very cheap to buy or run though

My sentiments exactly, which is why I said to them to make sure that the bike you test wheelies in first gear and tries to come up in second . . if it doesn't do that then you are riding a bad One - I feared that last years H2 test in MCN would be a sad affair, hence I gave them my lively H2 to ride and the H2 got a glowing report !

you're wrong: the RG 500 is very pratical bike, big tank, light, fast and acceleration at the top, engine is a killer,

very comfortable too :smt003

agree when I'm in the shuttle Calais Dover the supersportguys look at us like fossil but the funny thing is I know very well the road after and I generaly passed them on the first curve after the train to say nothing about passing them on the highway
