gudgeon pins.

Post by Gard »

HI GUYS. JUST BROUGHT A SET OF ORIGINAL SIZE USED PISTONS FOR MY H1E. THE GUDGEON PINS ARE TIGHT AND WONT PRESS IN UNLESS I USE A TOFFEE HAMMER . DO I HEAT UP THE PISTONS OR IS IT BETTER THAT THEY ARE SUPER TIGHT ?

Gard, warm the pistons in a bowl of hot water , keep the gudgeon pins cool and they should slip in , be sharpish though, the trick is not to let the pin warm or it will expand and become tight ! :)
