brilliant fun. Thanks for the pics Tony, and massive thanks to James and Katherine for putting up with us again.
James raised the fun stakes this year with not only the chariot, but also a trial bike course and a zip line . Fantastic organising and it only leaves us wondering what he will dream up for next year.
awesome, thank you very much.

Well we've just about cleared up now. Found Konky's sun specs and has anyone lost a cylindrical key??
Another great weekend!
To my knowledge no deaths were reported although several people tried very hard.

Here's Gary 'Scouse' Lampkin giving us a trials demo. Shortly after this blood was dripping from his right boot as he failed to negotiate the fence (and the steel girder I'd left hidden in the long grass). Unfazed he jumped straight back on.

Greg and family turned up. Greg always brightens a party. The BBQ got on fire at one point due to the collection of old fat in the base. I had 2 dozen perfectly cooked sausages on the 'keeping warm rack' that were getting nuked when the fat blaze took hold. I was in a panic, closed the lid but it kept blazing. What do you not do with a fat fire? Throw a pint of lager on it? Greg? Pretty spectacular I have to say but it did the job and saved most of the sausages!

Higgsy burnt his leg on the trials bike exhaust.
I burnt my leg on the trials bike exhaust. Ow.

Higgsy's mate Mike (?) was launching himself from the top of one of the outbuildings after dark on the zip wire. It wasn't quite set up right so there was a bit of a drop before there was tension in the line "Good fun but not good for the wedding tackle.." apparently.
Mrs Higgs was not going to let a mere open heart operation get in the way of some fun. "Gimme that trials bike!"
Ray completely failed to break down but it did piss it down in the middle of the night and turn the Bond Bug into an aquarium.
I managed not to get too drunk and throw up again. Just. The were A LOT of empties.
Next morning Higgsy cooked up some breakfast for the troops and the bikes were assembled for the run over to Lotherton.

A very shiny Zed!

Malcolm turned up for the run over on the H2B (Catherine says he's very nice BTW - Ray you've got competition).
Being a local lad I took them the back way. And got lost. It was my attempt at the scenic route rather than my usual route. It turns out a did take the right turn after all but forgot that you need to make a left turn shortly after. At least we got a nice view of Fairburn Ings nature reserve (which is also how I knew I'd gone wrong). There was a good turn out of the lads at Lotherton but by Sunday teatime it had all caught up with me........

Thanks to everyone for coming and making it a great weekend. Thumbs Up

THESE PICTURES are the best I have seen for a long time. It is that kind of stuff we did 40 years ago, like trying to sit on a trail bike for instant hair removal Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
