Hi all just joined. had a look through the site some talented restores/ builders of bikes on here. I've just bought a usa import h1f . will post a pic when I can figure how to. Trying to decide if to restore or build a one off
I've been doing some research(if that's what you want to call it) about registering it I have the nova form but. i spoke to Kawasaki about a dating certificate and they said if frame and engine numbers don't match they wont send one and I would have to Q plate it , frame number is H1F34071 frame sticker is 7 74, engine is KAE30960 this doesn't seem to match.
I don't really want to Q plate it any help or advice if you can please. I also have its little brother in the stable KR1-S

Kawasaki aren't being very helpful there ... the chances of a 40 year peaky two stroke still having its original motor all them years later is slim So if the numbers don't match but are from the same year it gets a Q plate ! oh and welcome aboard its a great club
thanks for your replies, at least I can head in the rightish direction now. the man on the phone at Kawasaki sounded like he was reading from a script, just wasn't interested or didn't care
the stamp mark is H1F-34071 on the frame, but the white sticker by has 7 74 printed on it, all the letters & numbers all line up and the spacing is the same . Not sure about the engine number it could be a home stamp number. but it is a 40 year old bike

The white decal with 7/74 on just means it was built july 1974 .... If I was you I'd look for some casings that come from that production year & then quote them numbers .. you need to google mraxl Kawasaki & all the info is on there ... I would look at casings around the 104071 range

The H1"F" stands for frame it doesn't mean that it's an H1F model
Pete is right mate.............get some other cases. It may sound like a no go, but plenty on eBay. I got a set for a peacock gray 70 bike so they are out there. I'll look thru my stash and will PM you if I see any on eBay as I'm on it all the time. Good luck mate........don't give up hope as a set WILL turn up eventually
Hey Mick just looked thru my cases and I have a set 104008 !!! This may save you shipping a set from the US . Bottom case is damaged but I have another that could be used or you could get it repaired??? Whaddaya think???
Yeah I thought about that for the gray 70............and while it would posso never get picked up there's always the chance so I looked for another set.
