My forecast says 63 degrees and cloudy :smt102 (I need it to be at least 68.5 otherwise I can't get me knee down on the KH).

It'd have to. The only time I'll be getting my knee down is when my arse is down too and the bike's sliding down the road in a shower of sparks.

How wierd ! I've checked the proboards site and there is a message ( from 2013 , I didn't spot the date ) to use 2strokeforums.com ! It didn't move then but maybe that's the last time I visited :-S

Enjoyed it despite the rain. Good turn out from the RD boys (they're not scared of a bit of rain  )

A spirited run-out in, let's say, testing conditions. 40 - 50 bikes I'd guess made it to Seaways.

Neat. The baby LCs are due in a couple of months (she's expecting twins).

Wessiedave (KH500), Craig (B2 nice), Me (B2 not-so-nice) managed to stay with the Yams as best we could. Blackhat was out on his DT250 slaying whatever he could pick off. It was drizzling/raining on the way out but absolutely siling it down on the way back. Spray, stinging rain, giant puddles, mental truck drivers, tractors and a swarm of middle aged madmen on old 2 strokes. Fuckin' brilliant!

Only trouble was, the KH wanted to be a twin, then a single, then a twin again, briefly a triple but mainly somewhere between a single and a twin much of the way back. Kept having to douse her with WD. Therein lies a tale:

She started dropping a cylinder on the way to Squires due to the rain. So I pulled over and left her running on 2 cylinders while I blasted each plug cap with WD40 to see which one was giving trouble. When I got to the third pot the tracking spark lit up the WD40 spray like a flame-thrower. Squealing like a girl I wanged the tin across the pavement and tried to pad out the flaming engine with my wet-gloved hands but got a hell of a belt off the plug caps. Only then did I think about switching it off and turning the petrol off. Fortunately the WD burnt out before any damage was done.

There were 40 bikes left on the ride James.. almost 100% turnout, there were 4 bikes left in the car park, one of those was Chris Todds FJ.

The turnout generally was well down on previous years, I added to that by taking the car, three times... we are going back on the bike very shortly for Sunday Lunch.

Thanks for the tip when spraying the plug caps James, if you ever have to do it again get it on video, sounds a right laugh !
Apologies for getting off early, I would have preferred to go back to squires and chat but I was told not to be late for tea ! :-(
