I've used the Sainsburs stuff, it leaves a residue that gums things up, my rings are only just recovering..

Dog hair?? I've got a Golden Retriever that sheds that stuff by the bucketload. I could collect a couple of handfuls and wiz it up in the food processor with some petrol, or I could use this, Shell Advance SX2 at £5.83 a litre. I think I'll stick with the Shell stuff. Interesting read about the dog hair though. If they could make a synthetic version of that and sort the crank lubrication the old 2 stroke could make a return perhaps.

Not relevant on here but I run Zabel 700cc at 100:1 on this stuff...

I used the same stuff in my H1F. A good two stroke oil is far less expensive than a cheap rebuild

Used Bel-Ray Si-7 back in the 70's still use it now.

This winter I'd strip and check your top end for sticking rings

I don't, will strip my top ends down over the winter and report any problems

I use Putoline Low Smoke with a drop of Castrol R40 in the petrol never had any problems and smells great!
