H1A Numbers
I am at long last getting round to restoring my H1A, however i am in need to some knowledge on the numbers. The frame number is KAF 41358 which makes it an H1A and all the body work is correct to relate to this, however the engine number is KAE 11733 which makes the engine a H1. So i have two scenario's, has the engine been swapped at some point in it's history or is it possible that some of the H1A's had H1 engines fitted to use up the stock so to speak, i would be grateful for any knowledge on this.

Re: H1A Numbers
A very big thank you for the info Rick
much appreciated.
I do like to try and keep numbers correct in my resto's, however this poses the question for me to maybe leave the numbers as is, after all it is part of the bikes history or do i try and get a H1 frame or a H1A engine to make correct, life is full of problems, but at least this is one i shall enjoy.
Thanks for the help.

I definitely don't have any, I need a set myself so looked for some during the move, plenty of early H2 Ones, but no B or C's

that will open a whole new can of worms for you as you'll also need B/C carbs, oil lines and oil pump, unless you drill the cases where the oil feed is blanked off as per H2/H2a caese
