The S3 takes a break in the dappled shade to cool off having dropped down to 2 cylinders, before resuming the journey home on all 3 once more.

Down to 2 again, another stop to cool off somewhere in Kent.

Took my F7 for a ride out - ended up at MFN where there was some kind on Mini convention. Saw lots more on the return journey.

My KH250 was cosmetically ready for the club stand at Stafford this year but was by no means running properly. It has been a right battle to get it to run cleanly.
It was fine on choke and started easily but was sulky when off the choke at low throttle openings. The obvious conclusion being that it was running lean, the carbs have been cleaned but not ultra sonic cleaned. I decided to have a good go at it today and Chris T popped round for a cup of tea and was roped in to helping.
We eventually narrowed the problem to the right hand cylinder so we swapped the carbs and this moved the problem to the centre cylinder and let us know that the problem lay with the carb. We had the carb off and on more times than a bride's nightie trying to locate the problem and eventually after about the fourth time of cleaning the pilot jet and circuit the motor fired up nice and crisp  :D  :D  :D

So...

I rang the MOT station and shot straight round there, about 6 miles away, the bike is a little cracker and a joy to ride. Here it is just after filling up on the way for MOT which it passed with no advisories

Back and running so a big thank you to Gary for the crank build, Higgsy for blasting and building the motor and Malc87 for finding a replacement barrel.

Rog was a brave experimenter. Just a shame that washing the bike with baby bio made it turn red and grow another cylinder instead of into a 750!
His only crime was throwing away the original pipes and I know that he now feels the pain over that.

The green one is running but the left cyclinder is colder than the others, swapping carbs moved the problem so may have to borrow Malcolms poking wire to fix it (3 posts up, I think).
