Fork leg looks good to me

Thanks for the heads up Tony . I’ll investigate the coatings and see what I’ll do ….
I also have the rear brake cover and Cush drive cover and sprocket plate. All will be polished so I’m thinking they need to be protected as they aren’t easy to get to after assembly.

So had a think and found a vapour blasters close by so going to get hubs and brake plate and Cush drive cover blasted. Not sure about fork legs as I’ve already polished them.
I have a question though - is my rear brake drum recoverable?
It is quite corroded inside on the brake drum contact surface and some of the raised edges are broken off .

Does the drum off an A7 fit my S2A ? One for sale on EBay and it says 350 but want to be sure …..

On my µAvenger parts list, it is 42005-009 (rear brake drum complete).

Then I need my rims and spokes to come …… oh and brake shoes, tyres and tubes and then back wheel can go on …

Hi Malc, do you happen to have the springs too as my bike had no shoes or springs in when I got it ?
I can’t see any springs sold separately. If I can get the springs then I’ll buy the shoes off you

Just ordered my tyres and tubes so I’m getting really itchy to get it all finished now….

So spent an hour or so with wiring and fitting generator back on and Accent ignition on.
Generator was a bit fiddly as the powder coating stopped it slipping into the cover . Had to fix a very short wire on the generator that goes to the new ignition ( old breaker wire).
So to setting up the timing. I am presuming the instructions mean set timing to the left cylinder with the neon indicator…?
I can’t try the ignition/ engine out yet as no fuel tank , exhaust etc….
One little mistake I made was clean up the rotor so much that the indicators are hard to see
One question, easiest way to stop engine turning when trying to tighten rotor nut….?

Put it in gear.. then either stand on the rear brake or put a rag in the sprocket/chain..

Hi Wolfie, no wheels on yet I’m afraid, plus I can’t find my torque wrench So may have to buy a new one …

I have loads to do yet. I fitted the Accent ignition Saturday and timed it up. Is it likely I’ll have to tune the timing once I get it running or is it probably correct now?

Malc as an expert …… could you help with my question in the technical section? I didn’t realise inner and outer spokes are different. Willis wheels are doing my new rims and spokes. Do you know the difference inner to outer spokes so I can tell them? Maybe they already know as I sent them pics and what bike it was for….
