Anything is probably better than 40 year old shocks, with little or no damping left. Hagon are generally acknowledged as an upgrade on standard.
If you want some with more period looks, they do all chrome "Custom" shocks, I have some on my KH500 with shrouds.

Hi guys thank for all the replies.
Interesting about the silencers. I will keep an eye out for original 250 or 350s but if not Higgspeed will have to do,
I will go alloy rims I think , not too worried about original or not.
I will try Simon for the centre stand pin , I need some bits for Gary to finish my engine from him as well.
Fork bushes seem ok, I found no movement at all. Even springs are as new length. Just need seals and dust covers.
I’m not keen on the shrouds on the shocks so I think ill give Hagons a call.

Thanks again chaps.

So arranged to go visit Hagons and watch my new rear shocks being built. Will it upset the handling to go 10mm longer. I’m not tall but don’t like low seat height.
Also going alloy rims. But I’d like to increase rim width on both wheels. I see later KHs have the 3.25 on front. But what about rear could I go to 4 from 3.50 ???? With slightly wider rear tyre. ???

Hi Guys. I got my rear shockers delivered in the end. I’m not too worry about originality so went for chrome springs with black bottom and inside. I know some of you will say ‘sacrilege’ but it’s my bike and to be honest there’s too much to do on it to try to keep original without it breaking the bank.

Also picked up my engine from Gary today . It looks beautiful and I won’t want to get it dirty ….
It was in a very bad way but Magician Gary has sprinkled his magic dust on it. New crank, bearings, rods and pistons. New clutch friction and metal plates and actuator mech.
It has ‘ featured’ on Gary’s Fb page if you’re interested - Kawasaki Triple Crankshaft - Downpipe3. Thanks Gary 👍
Need to get cracking now on forks and wheels etc or I will miss the summer….

I knew someone would say that 🤦‍♀️. It’s my bike and I like Allen screws as they don’t mess up when they’re used .

It's amazing the difference time, effort, and money can make - before you know it, you will have saved a bike from the scrap yard Thumbs Up The good thing about the 350's is that they are worth decent money once done, so as long as you don't go over the top, you should not loose out if you change your mind and move it on. Use what parts you like, it's your bike, and we are not the VJMC :D
I can't wait to see the before and after photo's 8)
Have a good Christmas everyone.

All coming together very nicely Phil, great job saving this bike, following your posts with great interest and can't wait to see the last photo with you out riding it and believe you me it is well worth it, what a smile it will put on your face and ours. :D :D :D

All the best Phil, Gary

Frame and bits back from powder coating and look great .
Put new taper roller bearings in head stock yesterday.
Struggling to get new outer bushes in swing arm. May need to push the new one out and sand down a little - I will check size first.
Lots of bits now on order … all those little bits do add up to quite a bit …
Once my new engine bolts come I will get engine in.
Oil tank cleaned up nice which I was surprised at considering it looked awful. Had to get new level window and superglue the screw tab back on the bottom
Coming along.

I will also need tank , panels etc painted , and possibly some chroming.
Thanks
Phil
Then your powder coater was not up to the task, my H1A that I owned for 16 years was ridden in all weathers and the powder coat was as good as the day it was done when I sold it, my KH500 that had been stove enameled lasted 6 months before covered in stone chips, I took the engine out and the stoving came off with the engine. Far to fragile for motorcycles IMHO

Hi Scouse. I did plump for powder coating in the end and it looks great. My old trials bike was coated years ago and was very abused. I imagine powder coating has come on a bit from then . I am well pleased with the finish - can’t wait to get it all back together….

Hi guys. Does anyone know where the replacement combined Regulator/Rectifier goes ? I am guessing in place of the regulator on the battery tray.
Also, I tried contacting Tim re new loom but no response - anyone doing these now or shall I go to KawaTripleParts ?

Most owners fit the combined unit where the original rectifier was.

or you could get them re-chromed...try Dynasurf or (more expensive) Philpots...Pittedforks.co.uk
