Yorkshire ride over to the NW Rally May 9th

We'll be doing the usual ride over from Yorkshire on the Friday afternoon..

Starting from Sainsbugs Petrol Stn on the A63 next to Jct 46 of the M1 at around 10:00am, then heading Round the Leeds Ring Road.

King lane and Otley Road to Pool, and then up to the Sun Inn at Norwood.

Then it's all A59 past (possibly into) Skipton, Gisburn, Whalley, Salmesbury and Preston.

Then the Preston Bypass and old road to Blackpool.

Anyone wanting to join in or pick us up along the way.. you are very welcome.

Hehe, he does actually pass stuff, but just not as daringly as most of us.. and on an open road he takes some getting rid of.

Ray, I was surprised at the question.. I already considered you as part of the 'furniture' for the trip over, the convoy would look so wrong if you didn't come along.

Is there an advantage going in a group? Pistons, cranks, gearboxes ah, electrical knowledge I'll see if I can get the day off!

Craig from Hudds will be meeting Dale from Battyeford then catching up with us, unfortunately neither are online.. but if you're deffo coming along, I'll get you all in touch.

I still have his KH here, so he won't be going unless we get it to him somehow, it was all but arranged then he put the brakes on plans.

Bit late i know but is anyone still doing this ride in despite the crap weather forecast?.
I will be riding to the rally on Friday not sure just what time though maybe mid afternoon.
I will be travelling down the A59 so a wondered if i could possibly join up with the ride in if thats OK.
I will be joining the A59 from the turn off onto the Barnoldswick Road (B6251).
There is a Butty Wagon called Dick Turpins in a layby approx 1 mile East up the A59 from the B6251 on the RHS towards West Marton. Flags on the side of the A59 show where the butty wagon is.
Just thought i might be a good idea to met up there perhaps for a brew/butty before continuing.

Yep we're still doing it, It's a Yorkshire Tradition... 2 years old now but a tradition all the same..
