H2a pulled over by South Wales Police

Post by 3styn »

A strange thing happened when out on the H2a today,

Was riding home from a mates house this evening, after accelerating up a short hill & turning into the village, I noticed I was being followed by a police car
After a couple of hundred yards at 30mph, I indicated to turn towards our street when they flashed me to pull over

Fearing the worst I pulled in and they drove alongside :( I looked into the car & saw two young coppers smiling & they said could they have a look at the bike :?:

They had never seen one before and thought it looked beautiful and the smell was fantastic :D Thumbs Up
they got out for a better look & were thrilled to see the old girl.

Needless to say I was relieved & rode home with a big grin on my face,

"Let the good times roll" :D

:D Excellent story. Trouble is they will go back to the nick and tell everyone else about it. You will get stopped by every copper in the area now just so they can see your bike
if you wish to quote me, that's fine. But please use the quote button provided, not a variation of my words.

In the mid 80s whilst working for VAG the importer of VWs and Audi's a colleague of mine who was driving a very highly specified show Golf GTI, was pulled over by a copper in Wales, who couldn't believe the high accessory spec on the car he spent about 15 minutes drooling all over the GTI, saying that one day he hoped to own such a car.

Then, after licking his pencil, he booked him for doing 46 in a 40 zone Thumbs Up

With a coupla mates got stopped some time back (we were going a little fast).. the copper obviously started looking closely at the bikes but then put his cop head on and whilst asking about the bikes he asked for ones lads documents, and checked my lights and brakes, then looked at anothers ones tyres..

Now, if he'd done it the other way round... he'd have been a sergeant by now...
as it is I doubt he'll make a detective..

When I was courting Catherine I took her to Scarborough for the day on my 500LC. It wasn't quite finished but the weather was perfect and I couldn't resist. No tax, test or insurance. Figured the bike looked okay and as long as I took it steady everything would be okay. That went out of the window as we nudged 135mph on an open downhill stretch of the A64. It remains the fastest I've ever been on a bike. It was getting dark on the way back but I was within 1/2 a mile of home on the M1 when I got pulled by traffic. Expected the worst.

"Did you know you've got no tail light?" he asks. I told him that I only had 1/2 a mile to go so he offered to give me an escort home and then he just waved a cheery 'Bye-bye'. Never even checked the tax. Lucky boy!
