2015 NW Rally

Post by Triple Parts »

After four years at the Coast Rider Cafe (where does the time go!) we have decided we need a change next year and to "freshen up" the rally format. So we are trying a new venue, Fleetwood Rugby Club just a couple of miles north of Blackpool.

Club member George Benson is Groundsman at the Rugby Club, so we are guaranteed good camping pitches! More information about the venue and its location to follow - watch this space :)

As mentioned above, after four years there we just decided it was time for a change, try something different and freshen things up a bit.

To everyone asking about hotels, I would really recommend camping this year. There will be a flat pitch (literally) and full use of the changing rooms and showers. Separate Men's and Ladies.

If you absolutely want to go soft, here are some local hotels and distance from the rally site:-

The New Boston Hotel, 41-43 The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6QE (2 miles)
North Euston Hotel, The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6BN (2.6 miles)
Savoy Hotel, 29 The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6HF (2.4 miles)
Sandpiper Hotel, 25 The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6HF (2.4 miles)
Wavecrest Hotel, 23 The Esplanade, Fleetwood, FY7 6HF (2.4 miles)
Briardene Hotel, 56 Kelso Avenue Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 3JG (2.3 miles)
Norbreck Castle Hotel, Queens Promenade Blackpool, FY2 9AA (3.4 miles)
Premier Inn, Devonshire Road, Bispham, Blackpool FY2 0AR (3.5 miles)

I can't vouch for any so do your research!

That is odd as it isn't anything sinister Rog. Sorry about that.

Brilliant, thanks for getting the date out early, I should be able to tweak my holidays accordingly. 2 miles is a bit of a walk though, I wonder if I set off walking just before Neil leaves maybe him and his lovely will give me a lift, again!
Might even bring the Motorhome .!
