On A motorcycle the bulb type is only acceptable on bikes made pre 1950 . . . I think . . . from memory . .

I get confused, but, it is in the motorcycle testers manual, my road going KV75 had a bulb horn and no speedo, both illegal according to my tester that turned blind eye, he did tell me the years that they came into force . . . But I forgot dave. . . .

Rick - we had similar problems when we started restoring '70s mopeds - no brake lights - Foley,s at Tibshelf were great about it. 6 volt magneto driven lights that 'glow in the dark'

Yes, Garelli Tiger Cross never had a brake light.

Mine did, from new (August 1974) - It had a small plastic block on the swing arm with a long spring and clamped onto the actual brake rod, it was always blowing stop light bulbs!

I am guessing that it was a shop mod - as they never came from the Factory with one.

Yes mine was brand new November 75 [KKW 226P] never had the brake light.

You know what, I believe you guys and it would seem logical, that as a budding motor mechanic I bought one off a british bike and wired it in myself :wink: (GNN 6**N by the way) I just checked the DVLA website and it says it's Green and tax was due in 1976 It was stock yellow when I owned it and I sold it after 2 Years.

Yep.....that the way my H2 horn was......and the guy got a wheelie.......and a nice ding in the chrome fender

Just had it re-chromed and they banged the dent out....good now.....I guess that is common
