22nd CMM Show at Stafford, 17th-19th October 2015

Post by S2Gerald »

You will have seen from the latest club magazine that I'm looking for bikes to put on the stand at the Stafford show in October. This is the main show of the year and unlike last year when we had a 250 theme, we won't have a theme this year, so, in theory, anything goes! To temper that slightly, the organisers expect good quality bikes, whether restored or unrestored, standard or modified. I have space for 10 bikes, so it would be good to have a spraed of bikes from 250 to 750 with one or two specials, as I've seen some out and about of late. Oh, and if you didn't know already, this year's guest of honour is the King of the Mountain himself, John McGuinness.

So, if you have a bike or bikes you'd like to show, especially if it is a recently acquired bike or completed project, then please get in touch by replying to this post or by a PM if you prefer; alternatively use my contact details (on this website (http://www.kawasakitriplesclub.net/contact-us.php) or on the inside back cover of the club magazine).

I've had a few offers already from people to bring their bike(s), but I still need more, ideally another five. I have to send in our entry before the end of August, so I need to know within the next month. Although subject to confirmation, the list is currently S2, S3 (or H2C), KH400A5, 400 Special, H1 and H1D. So there's certainly space for some 250s, 750s or another special or hybrid and it would be great to have full stand with a good variety. Perhaps you know someone who has a bike and is thinking about it and just needs a nudge?

Reply to this post, by PM or using my contact details in the magazine.

Thanks,

Gerald Fewkes

Thanks Kerry and Malcolm; you are already on my list. Malcolm, I'll keep you posted, but I could be asking for your S3 and/or H2C, but I'll let you know before I send in our entry in late August.

That's great Tony. You're a glutton for punishment! I'll be sending you your passes for Donington at the weekend (was going to do it during the week, but you know how it goes!).

Yes thanks Danny. I've put in the entry for 10 bikes, so just waiting for the paperwork to come back, probably in the next couple of weeks. We've got an S2, S2A, S3, KH400A5, H1, H1D, H1E, H2, H2A and H2C. No 250s, but they saw all those last year!!

It's all down to those willing and able to bring the bikes really. I can't believe it's come around so soon! What happened to the summer?!?

Really looking forward to this this year, my visit last year resulted in me buying a H2b - much to my Wifes amazement as I only went there to have a look about, Rick was very persuasive  .
I hope to meet some other members this year,

Cheers
