Cheers
PS Hope you all had a great crimbo, and best wishes for a great tripling new year
Scouse , you'll probably need to explain why you disapprove of the Boyer , as this is one of those "goldfish' threads , that keeps popping up !!TIM500 wrote:Thanks Gary
You surprise me, always thought the boyer was good, been around long enough, will check out the other one you mentioned,
Cheers

Ok. That all sounds like sense. My understanding is that the Boyer drags 1 .5v. Off the reading across the battery when motor is running .scouse wrote:The boyer runs a wasted spark IE all 3 plugs fire at once, which means it needs a very good battery to run, also, if you get some fusty connections with the bike sitting, this could reduce the volts supplied to the boyer
It's caused quite a lot of hassle for a few people on here.

And , I'm with Ray on this one. Especially on an early H1 . 69-71. With distributor systems , if it was my bike , I'd junk All those whirly bits and ht cables, especially the wobbly fast wearing distributor rotor and cap.oldman wrote:I ran a boyer for 25 + years on h1 and it was good as long as charging circuit was ok now changed to power dynamo which is still wasted spark system but uses less power
