Not triple related I guess

Post by malc87 »

Finished work today for two and a half weeks :D :D :D
Taken on some big contracts which means I have had to work bloody hard hence i have not been so active on here :(
The december magazine will now get some attention so it will be late
Im hoping to retire in 18 months on my 60th birthday when my pensions will be at there best to cash in/draw??
There not quite as gold plated as some of the triples club members ( You dont realise how lucky you are :D )
BUT ,I think I can manage and perhaps cut back a bit on my lifestyle
Booked a holiday for me and Julie to New York early(Ish) next year so looking forward to that.
At the moment sitting here with my glass of red my customer gave me Im just looking forward to christmas with the family :D :D :D

My Mrs Ann aso retiring @60 in 18 months. Guess I will then also. (Again) life too short. Get out when you can. Your retirement planning may be diverse but I am sure it will work for you Malc. ;)

Packed in six months ago after 40 years in Construction Malc, bits of me were really starting to protest by the end of the day so decided to take my pension early despite losing out.cash wise.

So, never mind hanging on another 18 months, go NOW!!

Have a good Christmas Bud.

Yes go as soon as you can, i retired 9 years ago at 50, best thing i ever did, you can't put a price on your freedom, you learn how to spend less, everybodies circumstances are different, but if you think you can manage - go for it.

My pension also takes a hit drawing it early so Im not prepared the give the bastards ANY of it back.
We have a big portion of next year already booked on good paying work so Im trying to save as much as I can and also sell off the bikes I dont want.
I dont really work physically anymore ,just organising and managing the contracts although I did do a bit of joinery yesterday much to everyones amazement and of course they all just took the piss out of me.
Call down if your free gary, plenty to see as its always changing!!

Always up for a perve at your Bikes Malc. :D

I might even buy a couple of your bikes from you on the cheap given you are going to be desperate for cash to top up your tiny pension..... I even have a 2 bar electric fire I could take a nice H2 in PX on if it helps keep you warm next year.

I'll call down over the Christmas Hols if Ok. :)

Took my pension 5 years ago at 50. I lost a few bob but my thinking was the longer I draw it the more I'll get :smt102 There is never a right or a wrong time to take your pension, none of us know what will happen tomorrow or in the years to come. That said how many people have you seen work till they are 65 to get their full pension only to die a year later. My feelings are live for today.

I do have a small hobby business to keep my eye in though :D
