H2c seat pan and foam

Post by Bic_Bicknell »

What's the best way to find a seat pan for an H2c model? There seem to be more about for the A and B models and smaller KH series but the longer C model seems to be extremely elusive.

When they do appear as part of a reconditioned seat they are up in the £300+ price range.

What I really want is just a seat pan and the foam, not bothered about the cover or fixings really, just the basics.

I'm starting to put together a plan to build a Two:Four style seat for my bike but they never made them for the bigger bikes so I need to cut the foam myself and design a bespoke cover and put it all together myself.

Any advice appreciated.

" Cheapest " way would be to buy the replica seat from Bob the Seat.

It`s a plastic base . But as you are doing a sporty seat , lighter the better ?

He may even sell you it unassembled, without cover, which would help your project .

?? B is longer so if you can get a H2b seat base, simply trim a few inches off the front edge. It is the same base for C, just shorter.

I have an original H2C seat foam and a couple of brand new reproduction ones, along with a non-standard second hand cover, if any of these are of interest? No seat pan though, I'm afraid...
